2017

HORA celebrates its 50th company anniversary.

2016

HORA starts with a high level of orders in the company's anniversary year 2017.

Ralf Schulze is appointed as a Managing Director for the business unit Flow Control.

By high investment the new machining center for the mechanical processing of large valve housings is put into operation.

2015

Flow Control starts with the serial production of the actuator "SmartDrive M", which will replace the conventional thermostat.

HORA achieves the highest monthly turnover in the history of the company.

2014

Visit by the Minister of Finance and Economy of North Rhine-Westphalia.

2013

Successful start up of the first four cooled desuperheater by our British customer Marchwood Power Ltd. in our business unit Power Technology.

For the first time HORA reaches a turnover of 50 million Euro.

2012

Further completion of the product range through development of a low cost desuperheater.

HORA receives the award Kulturförderpreis OWL (Cultural Award of the region Ostwestfalen-Lippe, Germany) for its cultural involvement.

HORA reaches an above-average percentage of apprentices of more than 20 percent of the workforce.

The 50th edition of the staff magazine appeares.

HORA is nominated for the award "Beste Finanzkommunikation im Mittelstand" (Best financial communication in medium-sized enterprises).

Increase of equity to 10 million Euro. This represents a twenty-fold increase in equity since 1999.

2011

HORA receives the OWL Maschinenbau-Award for its special effort and commitment in human resources development.

2010

HORA is awarded the TOP innovation prize of the Federal Ministry for Economy and Technology.

2008

HORA receives the Manufacturing Excellence Award (MX Award) for best SME (small and medium-sized enterprise).

2007

HORA celebrates its 40th anniversary with all its employees and their families.

2005

The first supply of high performance control valves for a 710°C component test facility installed in the coal fired power plant Scholven F located in Germany.

2004

Grand opening of the staff restaurant.

2003

We use the Balanced Score Card (BSC) as an instrument for strategic corporate development.

Our first sales conference in Beijing.

Development of a new high-temperature desuperheater (Cooled Cooler).

2001

Georg Bode becomes Managing Director.

2000

Grand opening of an own multimedia training centre.

1997

The image brochure "Güte-Zeichen" is printed for the 30th anniversary of the company.

1996

Doubling of turn-over and personnel in comparison to 1990 up to 23 million EURO and 200 employees.

Market launch of a combined valve.

1995

Dr. Dieter Dresselhaus becomes sole shareholder after the passing away of the company founder.

1993

Dr. Dieter Dresselhaus becomes the Managing Director.

Successful certification of our quality management system.

1992

HORA develops its own lines of minimum flow control valves and automatic recirculation valves for pump protection purposes.

CAD construction design is introduced:

Establishment of the HORA pension scheme introducing staff retirement benefits.

Development and introduction of valve calculation software. Presentation of a patented steam conditioning valve for power plant technology.

Introduction of the CNC-technology in the manufacturing process.

1974

Control valves are developed and manufactured for industry and power plant applications.

1969

The young company moves into its own manufacturing and office building along the Helleforthstrasse in Schloss Holte.

1967

Georg Dresselhaus founds Holter Regelarmaturen (HORA) as a company manufacturing control valves and actuators for heating and ventilation applications.
